And what about my future?

Hello again, and welcome to this new entry of my blog

Probably many of you had asked this questions to yourselves: ¨What I´m going to study?¨ or "What will I do when i finish school?". Well, that´s exactly what I´m asking myself right now.

To be honest I´m not completely sure about it, because this is a very important decision (probably the hardest decisiton that we have to take at the young age of 17 years) and it has to be taken very seriously. With this I´m not saying that I´m taking this as a joke, but I prefer to take it with calm to be completely sure that this is what I wanna do for the rest of my life.

I have been thinking about this since the last year, and when i asked myself where i wanted to be in 10 years I said: "I want to be traveling all around the world and visiting many places as it´s humanly possible". Also I realized that I´m a good leader and good with numbers and I have interest about new cultures and languages. So when I started to look for my career, I found International Business Management.

Besides I´m not totally sure about this, I think that this is what i want to study.

I have taken classes at the Rosario´s University of Bogota to know more about this career and how it is, which ones are the fields that I can develop on and what do I need to study this. Honestly, those classes were very helpful to me because they opened my mind and explained me what is this about. If I decide for this, it will be because this university.

And that is one of the reasons why I wanna study in that university. Not only because there I knew what I wanted to study, but because I like it very much. When I was there, I loved the facilities, the teachers that work there and specially the relaxed environment that we can found there at the outskirts on the city. The calm that I found there is probably one of the best things of that University.

But I don´t want to stay always there. My plan is to get a double Degree at IAE Bordeaux University, located in France. Why there? Because i have read that it is one of the best universities in this career all around the world. I have been looking for information about it, and I found that many of the best managers in the world have studied there. And I want to be the best, so I want to study there too.

Let me introduce you Bordeaux

Probably many of you had wanted to go out of your country and look for new adventures and experiences. I mean, who hasn´t?
Well, if you are one of those who are looking for a new place in somewhere in the world, where culture is awesome, where you can do a lot of things everyday...a place that doesn´t have the normal city environment, you must visit Bordeaux

As many of you, I wanted to leave my country and travel all around the world. I started to look where could I live and what could I do there, and I met this awesome city. You may be thinking "Where is this?" or "I haven´t heard about this city, why did you decided that one?". Well, thats exactly what I´m going to tell you right now

At first it was hard, because leaving everything to start from the bottom is not as easy as many of you think. It´s hard to be alone in a new country, surrounded by a culture that you dont know and where everything is different.

For example, in Colombia you can talk with anyone on the street and he will probably help you with a doubt or with indications to get anywhere (obviously not everyone is that kind). But here in France you can´t do that. Here the people is very cold, and they are not very kind to be honest. So making a good relationship with someone is hard, but it´s not impossible. When I arrived to the university where I was going to study, the people were very kind and they helped me a lot on the first days. They tried to do their best to make me feel confortable and to know what I needed to know.

I have to say that besides I had learnt french to defend myself on the city, I wasn´t prepared to stand an oral presentation and a test in that language! So as and advice, you must have a great level of french if you want to live here. Don´t worry, it´s not that hard

Here I had many of the experiences I was looking for. I came here not only because the university here is one of the better ones in my carreer, but because this city is a mix between romanticism style and a big level of innnovation and modern lifestyle. You can look at every corner and you will find an ancient house, or a square. But you can also find very luxury stores and a place that in my personal opinion is the best thing that you can visit in this city: the water mirror ( or "Le Miroir d´eau). Im going to put a pic down here so you can understand what I´m talking about,

Here you can visit the piers, because this city is crossed by the "Garonna River". There you can do activities on the water, and when you got tired you can go for a brunch on any restaurant you want. The food here is fantastic, specially if you like the gourmet style accompained with a cup of wine.
If you are a wine lover you will love this city. It isn´t called "wine capital of the world" for anything

I haven´t convinced you to come yet? I´m gonna put some images of what you can find here in Bordeaux (I have visited them all, and I promise that you won´t regret)

I have to tell that life here is not expensive, but it isn´t cheap. It is very common to be honest, prices are not high and you can find everything here, but there are some things that you should avoid. For example, transportation here is very good because you can cover great distance by a low price. But we are in France, and as you know this country is Characterized because it´s very luxurious. And luxurious thing aren´t cheap, so you must avoid expending money on things that you dont need and look for other options. I leave a table with some things with their respective prices, I hope it helps someone who may be reading this blog
